Fountain Valley, California – Hyundai Motor America’s 2020 Ioniq electric vehicle (EV) features a 38.3kWh battery pack, up from 28kWh in the 2019 version, boosting range 36% to 170 miles on a charge from 124 miles.

The car’s starting price is $33,000, and premium models can reach $38,600. The car is eligible for up to $7,500 in federal EV tax rebates.

Its e-motor delivers 134hp and 218 lb-ft of torque, and it’s fitted standard with a 7.2kW on-board charger – an upgrade from current 6.6kW charger. Using a 100kW fast-charging station, the battery can reach 80% charge in 54 minutes.
