Dana buys embedded software, electronics provider Pi Innovo

Expansion of eMobility product lines will allow Dana to boost electric vehicle (EV) components sales to automotive, off-highway customers.


Toledo, Ohio – Dana Inc. has acquired Pi Innovo, a provider of embedded software solutions and electronic control units (ECUs) to support the light vehicle, commercial vehicle, and off-highway markets. Dana previously held a non-controlling interest.

Headquartered near Detroit, Michigan, Pi Innovo enables Dana to increase its in-house electrodynamics capabilities and electrification product portfolio by adding a library of turn-key electric vehicle (EV) application software, vehicle level controllers, and auxiliary controllers.
